St. John’s
A friend led me once on a hidden trail upward and further upward opening to a small pristine lake on the peak of a mountain within the Adirondacks. We walked a bit further feeling the damp morning air through the vast tall evergreens leading us to an old cabin on the lake. I listened with much interest as he shared stories about how his father built the cabin using trees from the forest and where the cabin would be a retreat during hunting season.
