Childhood Adirondack memories take me back to a nearby farm. The family owning the farm had twelve children and each of there names began with the first letter “S”. I would learn about milking cows, shoeing horses, slaughtering chickens, slopping hogs and haying fields. I realized the twelve children were a necessity for running a family owned farm. What an adventure for me!
