Veteran inspired piece captures the simplicity of my grandfather, a Korean War veteran and lifetime native resident of Lake George. His spouse and his ten children found happiness and love in their old house. I fondly recall his smile, his hearty laugh, his red suspenders, flannel shirt and the rolled pouch of Redman tobacco stuffed in his pant pocket.
